Passport Photo FAQ
Can I make official US, UK, and Schengen passport photos at home?
Yes! RemexaAI includes exact pre-configured dimensional guidelines for US (2x2 inch / 51x51 mm), UK (35x45 mm), Schengen Visa, EU, India, Canada, and over 100 country ID standards.
What background colors are supported for biometric passport photos?
RemexaAI automatically replaces any background with compliant solid plain white, light gray, or off-white background colors required by government passport offices.
How does RemexaAI format photos to exact government size requirements?
Our smart biometric AI automatically centers the head, aligns eye level guidelines, adjusts chin-to-crown proportions, and crops the image to match official country dimensions.
Can I print passport photos on standard 4x6 photo paper?
Yes, RemexaAI generates printable photo layouts (containing 6 to 8 passport photos per sheet) formatted for 4x6 inch paper that you can print at CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, or at home.
Are digital visa photos generated by RemexaAI compliant for online government portals?
Yes! Digital JPEG/PNG files are exported in high resolution matching pixel dimension, file size, and background requirements for online US DS-160 visa forms, UK passport online applications, and global e-visas.
How can I take a compliant baby or infant passport photo at home?
Lay your baby on a plain bedsheet or white blanket and capture the photo from directly above while they look up. RemexaAI automatically eliminates shadows and replaces the background with pure government white.
Can I wear eyeglasses or head coverings in my passport photo?
Most international passport authorities (including the US State Department) do not permit eyeglasses in official photos. Religious head coverings are allowed if the full oval of your face is clearly visible from chin to forehead.
How much money does RemexaAI save compared to CVS, Walgreens, or photo studios?
Pharmacies and post offices typically charge $16.99 to $21.99 for two physical prints. With RemexaAI, you can generate an entire 4x6 print grid with 6-8 photos and print it at local photo kiosks for under $0.40.
What are the rules regarding shadows and facial expressions for passport approval?
Official passport rules require a neutral facial expression with mouth closed and eyes looking directly into the camera. RemexaAI removes distracting background shadows to satisfy strict biometric criteria.
